to me, dance is an amazing emotional outlet and my very first exposure to the "performative" aspect. right up to this moment, it still remains my first love..

there.. i've said it haven't i? =)

i've been filming since 30th june. in fact, just as i type this today, i have already completed one of my main set in studio. there are still more to come and my schedule's pretty packed. the usual call time for make up is an hour before set off, but for this drama, it's 11/2hrs earlier. during the few days that studio filming started, it's been filming till about 1-2am. but i'm still hanging in there and enjoying every moment =)

i've been doing more of 菊香's scenes recently, she's deaf and mute. she's a lovely character, someone extremely gentle, and yet so strong. i have to create her sign language as well, because she's not schooled and just someone who uses simple gestures to show her thoughts. it's different from 孩有明天2 where i used sign language to properly convey my messages.. this time it's my own simple creation coupled with expressions and body language.

my next filming set is up.. and this time, it's more of 月娘's scenes.

to be honest, i do see myself having a little difficulty in updating two blogs at the same time as i have been doing, due to my schedule. but i'll still try my best to update everyone with my current situation. however, i may be blogging more in my sina blog so my overseas fans can have access as well.

i have received some posts from fans and readers of my blog.. and i find them all extremely encouraging. i take heart in the fact that you enjoy reading my words.. i will still post in english in my sina blog, so no worries about any major changes =)

for one, we're already into the second day of filming for 小娘惹. i met "my baby" yesterday.. and she is really adorable! well, for a start.. i hope that filming goes smoothly and that everything will fall into place as we go along =)

my fans celebrated my birthday in advance for me on the 20th.. on the actual day itself, i received two cakes.. one made personally by my best friend (my favorite chocolate cake) and another by my management company Hype.. thank you =)
